Summer Time = Sunglasses
It's almost time to Grab your Sunglasses and Sunscreen and head for the Beach, or whatever body of water is your choice for cooling off and enjoying the Summer Sun.
It's important to protect our eyes just as much as our skin from the burning rays of the Sun.
So make sure you have your sunglasses with you.
Now if you're like us, sunglasses are just as much a fashion statement as they are a necessity. We love them in all different styles, colors and shapes.
If you are wondering what shape sunglasses will work best with your shape face, well, Elle Magazine has a great article showing us. Leave it to Elle to make sure we always look and feel great.
Click on the link above to take you to the article in Elle and find out which sunglasses are best for you.
Now pick up a few different pairs, because just one pair of sunnies will never do! Pack your bag with a good read, grab your sunscreen, throw on those shades and let's hit the water.
New Adventures Await
The time has
come for one of our style contributors, Liz of With Wonder and Whimsy, to move on to
new adventures, broaden her horizons and chase her dreams. May you find great joy and success as you
begin this new chapter in your life.
Her featured
article Wardrobe Workhorse – Three Ways To Wear It, has been in the
last four issues of Sparklers Magazine, including the latest April/May issue.
Her enthusiasm

inspiration, styling tips, and motivation to help empower women as they

our fashion team, we have gained a new friend and we are so excited for all the

Olive is one of our fave picks for this winter season. This beautiful shade of green has so many possibilities. Dress it up with a tulle skirt and heels for a fun party look or try it with a shirt dress and leopard print flats for a comfy, everyday look. Olive can be paired with black, white, cream or blush for a more elegant look or with floral prints and fringe for a boho chic feel. Experiment with it in your clothing choices as well as around the house. We know you won’t be disappointed!
Hello there! It's getting cold around these here parts, so naturally it's time to pull out the skinny jeans and leggings!
I am a firm believer that your rear needs to be covered when you are wearing leggings, but it seems that the stores don't always agree with me!
I am also in love with Flannels. They are cozy and warm and scream IT's AUTUMN!!!
I had this brilliant idea one day at my weekly thrifting outing to get some men's extra large flannels, and upcycle them to make the perfect Fall Flannel tunic!
The results were what I was after! I can't wait to make more of these cuties!!!
Second - measure how much in on the sides you want to have your shirt cut in. I needed about 2 inches on each side. Then pin each side.
Third - Cut off the sleeves at the seem. Now you can re-hem your sleeves, but I left mine raw and got a fun little frayed look around the arm holes.
Fourth - Trim sides to the pins
Fifth - Sew up the sides and VOILA!!!! You are done!!! Easy Peasy!!!
I think it's the perfect look for fall. Layer over a long sleeve shirt, add a sweater, or cardigan for extra layering. Wear it with skinny jeans or leggings! You really can't go wrong with this look!
Have fun, and let me know if you try it!

First - Hit up your local thrift store and pick out a flannel that is long enough to cover your rear.
(These next pictures won't be very good, I took them while I was recovering from my hysterectomy, and I honestly didn't care what they looked like. I just wanted to get it done and get back in bed. I wish now, that I would have cared! Sorry!)

It's Saturday! Tomorrow is Mother's Day......are you still looking for that perfect gift! No stress! We have a few ideas for you!
A colorful purse is sure to please, even the Mom who has everything! Looking for something a little friendlier on the wallet? Try some delicate flower studs.
For the tech savy Mom, a cute new phone case would be perfect.
Do you know her favorite scent? Perfume is always a safe gift bet.
For the Mom who loves to make her house a home, try looking for a cute coffee table decoration. Succulents are all the design rage right now, so try to go in that direction.
Do you know what she likes to collect? Help her add to that collection. Look at thrift stores for fun unique finds.
And if all else fails, FLOWERS and a note. Mom's really just want to know that they are appreciated and loved! Any thought will count in her book!
Are YOU a Mom?
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!! Have a great weekend and know that the work you do is appreciated!!!
Love,
Heather
